The Power of Using Simple Cards to Find New Customers and Build Better Relationships

Let me put the cards on the table (pardon the pun) – I don’t know of any faster way of growing any business than through the use of postcards and greeting cards – except maybe Google Adwords or video marketing.

You may have even received one of our cards and it brought you here or to one of our other sites.

Well, I’m letting the cat out of the bag.  If you’ve read my Secrets to Stress-Free Selling booklet you’ll know how I use cards to grow my own businesses.

In the booklet I only really talk about using Thank You cards in the direct mail portion of my follow-up system.  The reason for that is because they’re just so darn effective. However, it should be obvious that you can use postcards and greeting cards for other messages as well.  For business purposes these may be things like new offers, sales, free consultation, product announcements, etc.

That said, I also use cards (mostly postcards) to make my initial contact with clients.  Perhaps you’ve received one of these cards from me?

This approach is incredibly effective because it is so unique. Exactly as I outline in the booklet, I never try to sell anything on my first contact.  I simply make people aware of my free offer – which is something that can truly help them in their business.  If they show interest in my offer, I know they’re at least somewhat interested in what I do and they’ll go into my automated email follow-up system.

This way I don’t have to stress myself out by cold-calling people that don’t know me and have no idea that I can help them find more customers for their businesses in a cost-effective manner.

Feel free to call me on (604) 800-1796 if you would like to know more about this.

Also, if you have an existing customer base of any size consider sending them a simple thank you card in the mail.  Every business owner knows they should do this but practically nobody does.

When you do, you will set yourself apart from every other business your customers deal with on a daily basis.  Seriously, you will not believe the response you’ll get.

If you think you can’t afford it just send some thank you cards to a segment of your customers.  Maybe acknowledge your most frequent or highest value customers as a test to see what happens.  You’ll end up getting more immediate business and more referrals over the long term.

And more importantly, you’ll feel good about this aspect of your marketing.

Contact me if you would like to discuss ways of sending out large quantities of Thank You cards or postcards (often for less than the price of a stamp).
